Whether you are a first time or seasoned visitor, take a tour around our new-look website and plan your visit with us. 2012 is a big year at Renishaw Hall and Gardens, with fantastic events planned through the season and a special Royalty & Renishaw exhibition to mark the Queen’s Jubilee. Renishaw has been in my family for nearly 400 years and generations of Sitwells have made their mark on the architecture, gardens and wider estate which comprise Renishaw and so much of what you see on your visit today. I hope you will thoroughly enjoy your day out at Renishaw now it is under my care and still very much a family home.

Food Fair - 12th May

We are hosting local and regional producers, selling the best food and drink, including Renishaw’s very own still and sparkling wine, made from the grapes grown on the estate’s vineyard.

The Fair begins at 10.30am and will cost only £1 car parking (garden entry extra).

Vineyard tours from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

Plant Fair - 13th May

Join us as we showcase some of the finest specimens to buy to brighten up your garden for the summer.

The fair begins at 10.30am and will cost £2 per person or free with general entry to the gardens. NGS members free to plant fair.

Bluebells are now out in the Renishaw Gardens!

The bluebells are now flowering in the bluebell wood at Renishaw and we expect the beautiful display to last for the next two weekends! If you wish to visit and enjoy the flush of blue, then we recommend you visit over the next two weeks. We will still be open on the normal hours and days: Wednesday – Sunday 10.30am – 4.30pm. The gift shop also has a beautiful display of Cath Kidston bluebell beauty products for a memento of your day out. For more information about the bluebell display please contact the Events Office.

The Gardens

Relaxing, Beautiful & Historic

Renishaw is rightly celebrated for its fabulous Italianate gardens, with monthly highlights including Magnolias, Bluebell Wood and Delphiniums amongst many, many more, so why not visit and take a look for yourself.

The gardens are open Wednesday to Sunday and Bank Holidays, 10.30am to 4.30pm during the season.

The Hall

Tours

Book a Hall tour and see some of the spectacular collection of art and historical objects that have been put together by generations of Sitwells.

Visitors can take a tour of the Hall at 12.30 and 2.30pm on Fridays throughout the open season or group tours are available throughout the week, booking required.

Shop, plant sales and Gallery Café

Purchase great local and specialist gifts, from momentos of Renishaw to gifts for grandchildren. Plant sales offer wonderful seasonal plants, shrubs and flowers from local Handley nurseries. The Gallery Café serves homemade food with daily hot specials,.

Whats On

Renishaw Hall and Gardens host events throughout the year for families, gardeners and those who want to enjoy time out with friends. In 2012 we are hosting Easter fun days, food and plant fairs, Jubilee events including outdoor cinema, outdoor theatre and music, specialist garden walks, and much more.
